The Alliance’s mission was to protect a robust nonprofit health sector, serving as its national voice, while also to improve its performance in serving communities. It carried out this mission through research, education, technical guidance, communications, public policy development and advocacy, It sought to collaborate wherever possible with other alliances and associations with common values, interests and constituencies, and it continually urged its members and others in the nonprofit health sector to collaborate with one another and other stakeholders in carrying out their nonprofit missions.
